My brother lives with progressive MS. His experience is personal, but he is far from alone: 37,756 Australians and 3.1 million people worldwide live with MS. We are bringing people together to fund research for better lives today and a world without MS tomorrow.
48-hour music stream starts in
More than 37,000 Australians live with MS. Every one of them has a life bigger than the disease.
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic disease of the central nervous system. The immune system mistakenly attacks tissue in the brain, spinal cord and optic nerve. The symptoms depend on where that damage occurs, which is why MS can look different from one person to the next.
It can affect movement, sight, balance, sensation, thinking and energy. Some symptoms are visible; many are not. No two people experience MS in the same way, and the uncertainty reaches families, friends and carers too.
My brother spent seven years without a diagnosis. That history matters, but the story did not end when the disease finally had a name. Living with progressive MS means living with change, adapting when the disease changes the rules, and continuing to build a life around it.
Research can help people live better with MS now, develop better treatments, prevent the disease and bring us closer to a cure. That is where every donation to MS Australia goes.
Our partners are adding their support to what the community raises, helping turn individual donations into a bigger contribution to MS research.
Backed by DrawingHub and Waterline. More partner announcements are coming.
???Every dollar goes to MS Australia, funding and coordinating research shaped by the priorities of people affected by MS: better treatment and care, prevention, diagnosis and a cure.
Backing research into better treatments, care and management of the symptoms that shape daily life, including mobility, thinking, fatigue, pain and vision.
Funding research to prevent MS, stop its progression, repair the damage it causes and ultimately cure the disease.
Donations to MS Australia are tax deductible in Australia. This is an independent fundraising event held in support of MS Australia.
The fundraiser builds across four days, bringing workplaces, partners and musicians together around the same goal.
Our partners at Waterline hold a fundraising day in their office to kick the week off.
Another way to support the fundraiser is taking shape. We will share the details here when it is ready.
The main event. Musicians play live online, one after another, right through the day and night for two days without a break.
The fundraiser begins on Thursday with two days of partner activity, then continues into a 48-hour live music event from Saturday morning to Monday morning. You can donate throughout and watch the music online for free.
Donate from anywhere during the four-day fundraiser. Every dollar goes to MS Australia, and partner support helps the community total go further.
Waterline opens the fundraiser on Thursday, with another activity to be announced for Friday before the music begins.
Musicians play continuously from Saturday morning to Monday morning. Drop in for one song or stay longer on Twitch or YouTube.
